It’s Not Digg, It’s Not Del.icio.us, It’s StumbleUpon
Whether thumbs up or thumbs down, StumbleUpon is taking numbers and separating the good from the bad and the fire from the weak sauce. Although it is not new, I recently got on the wagon and joined the band as a StumbleUpon member. It seems like a great way to network, find new sites/articles and increase your site(s) popularity. With the plug in installed and in your browser, you can surf the web and ‘tag’ the pages/sites that you are most interested in. It reminds me a little of Digg and a little of Del.icio.us and has a good, community feel to it. I am still new to it but, it seems pretty self explanatory. If you haven’t already tried SU, check it out and see what you think.

Hi,
Check out my blog post about exchanging StumbleUpon stumbles. http://tjantunen.com/2007/04/22/exchanging-stumpleupon-stumbles/
I just stumbled your post.
Thanks, TJ, just went by your site and stumbled your post as well. Thanks a bunch, take care, TJ.
Stumbled upon this page of yours. Keep on stumblin.
Thanks, Jason, I appreciate it. Did you see the Wallhogs Blog, too?
SU is fantastic! I’ve actually found it to be one of the best tools I have for my blog - there’s never a shortage of blog topics if you use SU
Yeah you right, Gabrielle! Welcome to ScottPot and thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it. Take care, Gabrielle, I hope to see you around.
I have always liked stumble upon. I’ve found a lot of great sites that way.
Hey, Matt, welcome to ScottPot! I agree, man, since I joined, I have found many sites that I otherwise may not have “stumbled upon”. Thanks for dropping in, Matt, see you around.
Stumbleupon was/is a great thing, but after being involved in the community for sometime, many of us have come to see a lot of the darker sides of it as well.
Poor customer service, a lack of clear terms of service and little to no accountability on the management side of SU has tarnished what was once a really great place to be.
If you’re there just to find new sites, it’s still pretty great, getting involved in the community aspect is where it gets stickier.
Hey, Stacey, welcome to ScottPot and thanks for your input! Hopefully, some SU administrators will come across this post and take your feedback into consideration. Thanks again for dropping in, Stacey, I hope to see you around.
Stumble Upon is great. I’ve found loads of new and interesting sites with it. Far better quality than just using search engines.
Hey, I found this site with it (and I’ve Stumbled you).
One tip for newbies. Make sure you give thumbs up or down to every page you view with it - that way it can learn better what your likes are, and becomes more useful - the more you teach it.
Hey, Clangnuts, welcome to ScottPot, glad to have you! Thank you for your response and advice, I/we really appreciate it (and thanks for stumbling me, I just did the same for you
).
Take care, Clangnuts, happy stumbling, see you around!
I love SU. In fact, I found this site through SU. I have found some of the most interesting, funny, and informative Web sites since hooking up with SU. Hey, feel free to stumble all of my pages you want. ïŠ
Hey, Gecko, thanks for dropping in, I really appreciate you. Happy stumbling!
I stumbled upon your site too! Solid proof that this system works in driving us to sites we’ll like to read! I’m a relative newbie to Stumbling, but so far I’m really enjoying the experience. As yet I’m not too interested in the “social networking” side of it; just in stumbling on great sites.
Hi, Amanda, welcome to ScottPot, thanks for your nice reply! I agree with you SU rocks! Whether you want to network or not, we’re still connected via the web, and it is so darn convenient.
Thanks again, happy stumbling, Amanda, see you around!
