ScottPot: Gravatar A picture is worth a thousand words and the web has certainly evolved from a place of faceless content and anonymous comments to a place for individuals to spread their mark and make a name for themselves, particularly with avatars. We see them everywhere, in all online communities and, with the help of Gravatar, we are able to see them displayed next to our blog comments.

Creating an account is quick and easy, simply provide an email and upload your selected image that you want to use for your avatar. As far as implementing the gravatar feature on your weblog, there are plenty of plugins available that are compatible with various types of software like WordPress, Blogger and LiveJournal, to name a few. Plus, Gravatar even has online tutorials should you not be too savvy on your technical skills.
