June 30 2007: The Full Strawberry Moon

by Scott Schroeder on June 30, 2007

The Full Strawberry Moon Another month gone by and it’s already time for another full moon in the sky. Originally, June’s full moon was universally known by every Algonquin tribe (North American Indians aka Algonkin) as The Full Strawberry Moon whereas Europeans commonly called it The Rose Moon. Interestingly enough, June’s full moon, The Full Strawberry Moon, coincides with the short season for harvesting strawberries which naturally occurs each year during June. Stay tuned, July 29, 2007 and The Full Buck Moon will be here before we know it! ;)

Hi, Cherry, how are you? Tomorrow (our time), the 4th of July is the nice, long holiday. Today is just plain old Tuesday, July 3rd, 2007.

You want to take holiday, huh, Cherry?

Yeah, I will be on break after the end of July. This month is a hectic month for me, with tons of freelancing requests. I have prepared some posts in advance so that I can enjoy a week free of blogging and still update my blog regularly in the first week of August :D

happy independence day ! How long is your holiday?

Hi, Cherry, thanks! That is nice that you will have break for the end of the month, I hope you enjoy it!

Technically, the holiday is just one day but it truly varies- some people take vacation and celebrate for few days. I am sort of off today but, I am still tending to business.

I think we will go watch the fireworks tonight so that should be cool.

Take care, Cherry, see you!
