Out To The Bay Area For The TC20 TC40 Conference

by Scott Schroeder on September 15, 2007

TC40 After getting back to Las Vegas this past Tuesday from a 5 day, 4 night adventure in Santa Barbara, CA, I am heading back to California, once again! This time, I will be a little further north up the coast in the beautiful city of San Francisco at the TechCrunch40 Conference.

Gerard and I are eager to see the attendants (and the rest of the hot, new startups) that roll out for this one and we are glad to hear that Mike A. and the rest of the TC crew have decided to make a little competition out of this event for the startups in the demo pit. You see, actually 39 startups have been selected to launch on stage at the conference, leaving one spot open for the remaining startups to battle over. As Mike A. explains,

…we actually only have 39 startup launches planned. The last spot on stage on the last day will go the audience choice from the demo pit companies. Each attendee will be given two tokens (one for each day) to give to the demo pit companies they like best. Whoever gets the most tokens gets a spot on stage and is fully eligible to win the $50,000 prize.

We are confident that Swamble will be a big hit in the demo pit and, in fact, Gerard is putting a bic razor where his head is and swambling on whether or not we will be able to collect enough tokens to launch on the main stage at the conference. Get on in to Swamble and check it now!

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone, be back early next week with some more of this and that as well as some photographs from Disneyland and Santa Barbara that I still need to transfer on to my pc. See ya! :D
