Country Wide Bank Still Leads the Pack with the Highest APY for those (6 month) CD’s
Even though their rates have dropped drastically in the past 6 months, certificates of deposit (CD’s) do still hold a high value for those cautious minds looking for a safe investing alternative. For the past couple of weeks, Country Wide Bank has offered the highest rates on their CD’s, specifically the 6 month CD. As of now, Country Wide is running an internet only APY of 4.30% for a 6 month CD (down a substantial amount from the 4.75% APY they were offering 3 weeks ago
). Who knows how low the rates will be once these 6 month CD’s have had time to mature!
