by Scott Schroeder on June 30, 2008

old Arnold Schwarzenegger imageAs per Governor Schwarzenegger’s signing of SB 1613, tomorrow marks the first day that the new law pertaining to talking on your cell phone while driving goes into full effect. California drivers caught to be in violation are said to be ticketed a $20 fine for their first offense and a $50 fine for all subsequent offenses (no points will go on your DMV record). It should also be noted that drivers under the age of 18 will not be allowed to talk on the phone at all while driving, regardless of a hands-free device or not.
